| Yesterday, I voted in Precinct 61. When I was finished I waited at the door for my husband. I noticed a poll worker lead two adult males to the machine where I'd just voted, and the younger man was looking over the older man's shoulder. I thought it was odd and kept staring and was about to ask the other workers what was going on. When my husband came to the door, I asked him what 2 men were doing at a machine, and he suggested the older man could not read...was blind, etc. If that is the case, isn't a poll worker supposed to assist? Finally, another poll worker asked (I think at seeing my concern), "Is that allowed?" A worker who was eating some cheetos got up and went to talk to the men, but we left, so I don't know what was going on. It just looked fishy to me. |
